Military Affairs Information Technology

Military Affairs Information Technology (MAIT) is based out of Fort Harrison and provides technical support and maintenance for all divisions within the Department of Military Affairs and their employees, including State Active Duty workers. MAIT also maintains the systems among various locations throughout the State of Montana and operates several separate networks based on mission function.

Chief Information Officer
Mike Paulsen-Fuller, GCFE
CIO Mike Paulsen

Mike Paulsen-Fuller is the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Military Affairs and is the head of Military Affairs Information Technology. Mike has been with the State of Montana since 2015 and was hired as CIO for DMA in October 2020. He currently maintains a Global Information Assurance Certification as a Certified Forensic Examiner to assist the state in computer forensics and investigations and has extensive backgrounds in finance, network security, and technical support. In 2020, Mike was selected by the Governor's Office to participate in the National Governor's Association Policy Academy on Cyber Security, and also was awarded the Governor's Award for Excellence in Performance.

Mike is a 6th generation Montanan, has skied competitively in downhill race events throughout Montana, earned the Best Soloist award for percussion during the Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival, and has played music professionally.
