Montana Veteran's Affairs Division
 Our mission is to promote the general welfare of Montana Veterans and their Families through establishing a statewide network of service for military veterans and their families; providing services and assistance for all Montana veterans and surviving spouses and dependents, in coordination with associated federal and state agencies, veteran’s service organization, private organizations and individuals; management, operations, and maintenance of Montana’s state veteran’s cemetery program; and assist and advise the public, governmental agencies, and elected officials regarding veteran’s services, programs, initiatives, and policy.

Matt Young
 
Matt Young is a US Marine veteran of the 1st Gulf War where he ran a repairable issue point on the island of Bahrain, and graduate of Sam Houston State University. Originally from Texas, Matt is a former CEO of an international distribution company and has sat on various Boards of Directors.
Upon moving to Montana nearly two decades ago, Matt has run various businesses related to Montana tourism. He has advised and consulted with numerous elected officials, and is passionate about veterans and their families. Matt is a Lifetime Member of VFW Post # 6441.
Matt serves as an Advisory Board Member and Montana Outfitter to Bar X Project, a non-profit organization that brings wounded Marines that served in combat to Montana for healing and renewal.
Matt lives in Helena with his wife of 32 years, Melissa Young who is a CFO of a local engineering company. They have two children; son Michael and wife Hannah live in Keyport, WA where he works for the Department of War and she is a Midwife, and daughter Mackenzie owns a coffee shop in Austin, TX.
