Domestic Preparedness Equipment Grant
Recently, the media has announced several federal streams of money that may be coming to first responders. I know there are many questions at this point about the scope and intent of these funds. There is confusing information about possible additional funding streams. The only definite funds we are aware of, at this time, are those through the Department of Justice (DOJ) Equipment Grant that Sheri Medow Smith from DES has announced.
The Department of Public Health & Human Services has been given limited information concerning a bio-terrorism grant. Detailed information on that grant is hoped to be received Feb. 15th.
